The Emergency Assistance Center
The EAC provides emergency food assistance (food pantry), personal hygiene items and clothing to residents-in-need living in 12 communities of Northern Summit County. Consider making a financial donation, donating non-expired, nonperishable food (our “Green Bag” program) or stocking shelves at the EAC in Northfield Center.

Please see their website, especially “Signature Programs,” to imagine creative activities to share with the residents. They especially love seeing children during holiday times.
Intentional Hands/CityView Baptist Church
“Making the invisible visible,” Intentional Hands in partnership with CityView Baptist Church focuses on evangelism and discipleship that prioritizes the downtown Cleveland community, especially the undervalued. Every neighborhood is unique and so is every person. WR volunteers will be equipped to participate in CityView’s Cleveland neighborhood ministries and growing church.

Sign up to serve dinner and minister to the women and children at Laura’s Home. Desserts, snacks and donations to defray the dinner costs also are always appreciated.
CE National
CE National is a Church Effectiveness ministry of the Charis Fellowship. CE’s mission is to be a catalyst for all believers to be trained and mobilized to be on mission. WR students are encouraged to participate in the Momentum Youth Conference, Operation Barnabas and Urban Hope as opportunities to experience God and serve in cross-cultural ministry.
Not Alone Crisis Response
redhatndubs03@aol.com
WR GO teams are called to join God in response to natural disasters such as devastating floods and hurricanes. Our teams join workers from throughout the country in widespread clean-up, restoration and reconstruction efforts. Even more importantly, we bring encouragement to many distraught families in need of hope, prayer and reassurance of God’s unfailing love.
VisionOhio and Vision USA

Ron and Chery Boehm are senior coaches and leaders for VisionOhio, a Charis Fellowship regional church planting network. Please pray for the Boehms, the church planting movement in Ohio and the work of SEEDnet in inner city Cleveland. Vision USA, born from VisionOhio, is helping many other regions in the United States to mobilize a regional church planting effort.
BrightStart Learning
BrightStart Learning was founded in 2011 by WR’s Gwen and Vernon Higaki. Their educational ministry in Cambodia has grown to serve over 500 students, including 10 remedial study centers, a dormitory, school scholarships, Sunday schools and music instruction. Please ask the Higakis how you can help as an intern or from here at home.
BrightStart Learning offers 1 to 12-month internships in Battambang, Cambodia and its outskirt villages in cooperation with Encompass World Partners. Interns help the BrightStart staff provide remedial learning and English instruction to children, pre-K through Grade 12. During Sunday school lessons, interns transition from instructors to disciples by coaching a growing number of children to seek Jesus and His Gospel of hope, joy, unity and personal relationship.
Encompass World Partners
Encompass equips and mobilizes individuals and churches throughout the world to fulfill their roles in the Great Commission. As global facilitator for the Charis Fellowship, Encompass will assist WR to place a young adult in an internship opportunity to match their calling into international cross-cultural ministry.
WR sponsors Encompass missionaries Matt and Jen Daniels, who arrived in Japan in September 2016. They have made a long-term commitment to evangelism and discipleship ministries in a country where fewer than one percent of the population claims to be Christian. Matt and Jen need your prayers and friendship on this journey. (You can start today by “friending” them on Facebook!)
Meeting God in Missions (MGM)

WR high school students and adults can join teams participating in MGM’s many ministries in the DR including worship and teaching, medical, optical, dental, prayer and evangelism, sewing, sports, gardening, food and clothing distribution, as well as children’s and women’s ministries. Volunteers from all walks of life have an opportunity to serve the Lord through a short-term mission trip with MGM. MGM welcomes all those who have an interest in extending help to the less fortunate.
