Week 1: Distorted Identity
[Romans 7:15-25; Galatians 6:9; Romans 6:6-7,18]
Many of us live frustrated lives. We believe that we should be doing what we are made to do but keep falling short. What we fail to realize is that we fail because we start with “do-ing” before “who-ing”. Who we are determines what we will become. For many our identity has been sabotaged…we need to re-capture it before we decide our next 5 years.
Week 2: Sum Total
[Daniel 6:3-10; Zechariah 4:10]
Us in 5 years is determined by the sum total of the small decisions we make everyday. Daniel illustrates for us a life that was greatly used by God, but it started where no-one saw him. Small, seemingly insignificant daily habits led to a life of great impact. We will look at how to begin making daily decisions that will yield a life of impact for God’s Kingdom.
Week 3: Deal Breakers
[Judges 16; James 1:21; Proverbs 4:14-15]
For many, us in 5 years begins with what needs to be started…but others, the start actually begins with a stop. There are certain routines/habits/addictions or even paths that are keeping us from the Us in 5 years that we desire. We will talk about having the courage to stop so we can begin to be who God has created us to be, and as a result bring Him the glory we desire.
