Politics are divisive. People of true faith should be politically active, and yet still be charitable toward others. Instead of being a slave to politics, we should live as servants to the One True King.

Week 1: Ambassadors
As followers of Jesus Christ we must remember who we ultimately serve. When we come from the understanding that we are ambassadors of the one true King, we begin to see that we not only defend our freedoms here on earth, but we live as light to point others to the freedom found in Christ.

Week Two: Under the Influence
As followers of Jesus we find ourselves under the influence of culture. Common messages of hate, division, self-righteousness and pride are wrapped in language that seems pleasing and well-informed. But as followers of Jesus, we must examine what influences us the most. There comes a time where we must resolve (with grace) to stand for Christ and therefor influence the culture that we find ourselves in. Which world influences us most? The Kingdom of the world or the Kingdom of Heaven?

Followers of Jesus stereotypically are known for what they are “against.” During the transition of our country dictated to us from the effects of COVID-19, the social unrest, and finally the election, Christ-followers must decide to stand. However, we must stand for what we are FOR and not what we are AGAINST.

As we watch the election unfold this week, we, as followers of Christ, must be ready to cross the lines. Disappointment, anger, joy, happiness will be emotions that we will see represented within the same group of people. This is where we must cross the lines. We, as Christ followers, must bring grace and truth into the spaces in which we live.
